Just read in Private Eye that Bristol University are shutting short science courses for the blind (lack of funding). They have said there is "little academic rationale" for the courses, but the programmes (usually one term) are assessed, involve independent study and count towards academic credit. The courses have developed numerous new lab techniques for sight-impaired students, but now all the staff have been made redundant.
I know funding can't go everywhere, but I find it upsetting that courses like this should be cut
