I'm applying for a master degree and I found one at Cambridge which really interests me. But I know it is very competitive and they require 1st and I have a very high 2:1. DO I stand a chance?

If your references are good then it's worth applying.

Yes you do. I did my Masters at Cambridge. Most of us had 2:1's; and having said that, people with Firsts get rejected. I know a guy with a 3rd doing an M.Sc. at Oxford; he has relevant work experience. Just apply, see what happens.
