I'm So glad i found this site, iv been having a looka round and its so helpful.

i just wanted some help, i recently started my 3rd yr studying English and wanted to apply for a masters...but im havng a problem writing a personal statement... i do know how important it is to have a winning PS...I got an AAB for Alevels yet still did not get into the university of my choice...i guess because of my personal statement=(

i want to apply for a masters in English at UCL and Kings...

The career centre at your uni and your personal advisor might be able to help.

What kind of help you want with your personal statement? Obviously there is no absolute formula for a sensational PS; but maybe if you asked more specific questions people might be able to help. I'm also applying for a Masters at UCL - which course are you going for? Where do you study at the moment?

im applying for an MA in English at some universities and for HRM in a couple of others..obviously i'm planning on writing 2 diff PS for these applications but i just wanted to know how should i start the personal statement?

if anyone has any samples, it would be much appreciated.

Hi I recently completed a personal statement which took 4 days! I think one of the best ways to start is to look at exactly what the program wants from you then list what you have that relates to it. start with a little bit of background why you are interested in this particular profession how you became interested. Talk about your experiance of your degree and what it meant to you. Put some passion and a lot of your self in it and ask for advice from your lecturers. No problem sending it to you now mines for a funded MSc in marine Biology and I have got an interview on tuesday for it so it must of been ok.
