I have to decide today between 3 PhDs and it is undoubtedly the hardest decision of my life. How important is gut instinct? The Phd I find the most interesting I have a bad gut reaction to compared to the others.
3! You lucky thing :-) Why do you have a bad gut reaction? Is the the place? The supervisor? I'd say choose the one you find most interesting, but if you don't think you'll be happy there then don't do that one. Good luck!
I feel for you I only have to choose between 2 and am finding that impossible. But I would always trust your gut instinct there is generally a reason for it even if its not obvious
I was in the same situation last year. Everything on offer was almost the same. So I chose the one I chose because of the people I'd work with. I have 2 great supervisors and I am so glad that I followed my instincts. I recommend doing that. Good luck.
I've got a couple of weeks to decide but that doesn't help i'm just changing back and forward between them. the others have given me plenty of different things i could try comparing them on but in the end i think if like me there isn't really a wrong decision go on your instinct and don't dwell too much on it because going over and over it has been my biggest problem
