I have done M.A. Linguistics. Pragmatics and critical discourse analysis were two among the subjects that I studied in this course. I have a keen interest in these two subjects. I worked in pragmatics for my M.A. dissertation also. I want to specialize in these areas further. Lancaster university is going to start an M.A. course in discourse studies. Should I go for this M.A. course at Lancaster university before going for an M.Phil or Phd in the same? I want to join a course which involves a thorough reading of the subject and gives me a good insight into it. Please advise me on how I should plan my studies.
