I took several months off during my second year, because I got stucked and hated my work. It helped me to realize what I want, I returned to university and now I am at the end of my third year.
I think you should appreciate the fact that you have had the opportunity to start a PhD..my friend has just got a 2.2 in her degree and is devastated because she can't do one now.
Sorry Zara - this is only a joke - of course we appreciate having the opp to do a PhD - but we are still allowed some fun. Sorry if you were offended. I do know how difficult it is to get funding and although I may joke I am very grateful for this opp and do work hard. Please accept apologies
Apology accepted. I was a bit sensitive because my friend has been very upset by her 2.2..she has wanted to do a PhD since she was in high school. And I feel worse because I start my PhD this year and it was one she applied for too :(
Well goodluck to your friend whatever she decides to do. i`ve heard of people doing PhDs with a 2.2, maybe you have to go through masters first though?
