Hello all!

I'm a European citizen and I'm about to start my PhD at a UK university in October.

My question is; considering the recent election results in the UK and the decision of the new government to hold an in/out referendum in 2017, how would the possibility of UK leaving the EU affect our funding situation and fee classification?

Um, not sure any of us on here are qualified to answer that! There's a lot of possibilities there!

I doubt the UK is going to leave the EU anyway so I wouldn't worry about that.

Also, if you get funding for a project, I expect it will continue; leaving the EU would only affect new applicants.

These things work very slowly. I agree with TreeofLife and doubt we will vote to leave the EU, but even if the vote went that way, it would take years to actually sort it out.
