Funding levels for PHD Chemistry?

P

Hi. I'm currently a chemistry undergrad student and I'm considering whether to do a PHD in chemistry. Could somebody inform me as to what level of funding I can expect just in terms of research funding? I understand different factors will come into play, but just a range or average, or some personal experiences of funding levels would be really appreciated!
Thanks so much for your kind help!

Well there are a variety of funding bodies out there for the sciences. If you get a funded studentship then you can be looking at getting in the region of £12-£13k a year (tax free). If you get an industrial studentship (CASE studentship) then you can look at getting a few grand more each year.
