Any help or advise to the situation would be greatly appreciated!

I have previously completed a MPhil and since graduating been in full-time employment. However I am considering applying for a full-time PhD. Do people look unfavourably on the MPhil at the application process and does anyone have any advise for possible PhD in sustainable development / environment in the London area?
