Hi,
i'm trying to get into a phd for computer science. The department where i want to apply uses gre to evaluate students, but they say that the quantitative section is more important for them than the others. I bought the kaplan gre general book but it doesn't give the right emphasis to math (probably because the requirements for a master ar not as high as those for a phd and in other departments they also rate students with analytic and verbal). They even say: "if you are doing really well, you might run into some questions that are not explained here. Look at the math reference for more info". Well i have do to 'well' at the very least! A good quantitative score for this deparment would be 750... I *might* get in with 700-720, but i prefer to aim higher just in case i run into problems and to be really sure i get in.
Any gre prep books that take the quantitative section more seriously?
Thanks
