Help please! Probs with PhD sponsor - what are criteria for MPhil?

P

I'm 6 months into a PhD which is part of a larger clinical trial. Id am having numerous problems with the sponsor - invoice not being paid & delays which may mean the bigger study won't be completed in the next 3 years.

I'm under pressure to make a decision whether I want to pull out and start all over with another (less interesting) project within my dept or stick with current one and risk it all going wrong.

If I take the latter option and the worse happens, does anyone know if it is possible to obtain an MPhil out of all the research I've done so far. I haven't conducted any actual studies yet though due to delays but have done heaps of desk research.

Any advice gratefully received.

I think you need to find out from your department on what the requirements to fulfill a MPhil are. I'm not sure about this but I think they can vary in time spent, work submitted etc.

I take it you're talking about the NHS in context of a clinical trial? If so, their finance departments rarely pay any invoice until final demands are issued or services are terminated. You need to lean on the right people and it is UNIMAGINABLY frustrating.
