I want to do a PhD that can take me just 1 year in the area of peace and community development areas. Is anyone who knows kind of university offering this opportunity and any available funding?
Many thanks for your help
AS far as i know most univrsities have a minimum of 2 years to complete (and most people take 3-4). Afraid I can't reall help on the subject area either but hopefullysomeone else on here can.
Let me know what you find because I'd love to get a PhD in 1 year! Seriously, unless it's in some esoteric area of theoretical mathematics, and your name is Fermat or Euler etc, you'll be doing it for 24-30 months MINIMUM.
Most universities have a minimum period of study of 2 years full time and 3 years part time.
So, I guess that it is very difficult (if not impossible) to be accepted for a 1 year PhD!
I know someone who did a phd in ONE YEAR; but this guy already had a phd and needed the next phd as a qualification. The 2nd phd was not funded (because this person already had his own funding/career).
but keep looking, who knows you might just find what you need.
