Hello all, I’m new to this.

Is there anyone who has done or is doing a hospital based PhD?
If so can you provide any advice or experiences?
I have recently applied to undertake a full time research PhD in a hospital (funded £12k per year), but I am not quite sure how it will plan out.

Do you think I would be able to do any work in the hospital to earn some extra cash or can I do any external work during the week? If I was to do any part time work would I be taxed as usual?

Any other advice would be very much appreciated.
