It looks hopeful that I will be offered some hourly teaching at a nearby uni in my subject but I wondered what the going rate was for hourly tutors.

I get about £25.50 I think per hour

I get £42 per hour, but that includes all time spent preparing and marking. And I get taxed quite a bit as well, although I always get a rebate at the end of the contract.
