Sorry to whinge, but...it is Saturday night and I am trying to do some writing that I am due to give to my supervisor on Tuesday. My boyfriend has gone away for the weekend to visit his mates (ie. drink beer). I am in a new BIG city where I know NOBODY...I am so bored and so lonely and so miserable.

I am sure if I wasn't writing my thesis I would have met some people here by now. Instead, I am stuck at home every day with nobody but my dog and my computer for company. I can't get a job - why did I start a PhD in such a narrow field that people say "can you even do a PhD in that?" all the time?

Poor me *sticks bottom lip out*.
