Hypothesis, surely that is not a very polite response. Anyway I'm hoping you were just having a laugh . With an MSc in Chemistry I think the sky is the limit in terms of what you can do and achieve at PhD level. These days there's loads of options, especially in the UK or US. There are interdesciplinary PhDs, Chemistry (Materials, Theoretical, Analytical, Polymer Chemistry, etc), Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, Education, I could go on. I'm sure where you are there are similar options.
