INTERVIEW!!!!

Z

Hi, I know this question has probably been asked many times but here goes:

I have just got an interview at Imperial college, London, in the medical research dept (Hammersmith Hospital) and am looking for some advice regarding how and what I should prepare for?

Thanks in advance

L

Hi,

There have been a number of threads on this topic so it's well worth searching through the archive for answers to this one. In my experience, you will have already written a research proposal. You need to read widely around the subject and be prepared to answer questions about methodology. Dress like you would for any other job interview. Good luck!

Actually in med sciences it's rare that the student has written a proposal - usually there is a specific project advertised.

Make sure that you can talk comfortably about any research experience you have. It's worth reading a couple of key references relating to the topic and getting a feel for what the key issues are. Do a little homework about the supervisors so you know what their research interests are.

Good luck.
