Labour, Conservative, Liberal or Other?

W

I have had enough party members knocking on my door now so I figured I should declare that I am a Labour gal for historic reasons really though now and then I have almost thought I should go Liberal!

What are you?

Oh and following in the fun theme. Find out what you are in the American system. I am a Social Liberal (63% permissive) and an Economic Liberal (21% permissive). So apparently I am a Democrat which is pretty much the way I would have gone if I were American.

'What are you?'

A free thinker.

W

So an Independent?

Ok I meant what political party do you vote for?

G

Historically Labour, but in a Wilson not a Blair sense. That said I won't be voting locally in Blackpool as I'm anti-casino and all the parties are pro.

S

I'm a conservative, but only coz labour make a right mess out of everything (namely schools, NHS, petrol tax etc)

H

Got the same as W2DN.

I voted for the lib dems last year but not too sure this year....

S

I will be campaigning for a "None of the above" category to added to the voting form. I feel really let down by all of them.

H

I know what you mean sylvester they are all really lame

S

I actually think it's a good idea because people would have a proper way in which to express their displeasure with the political parties and political system in general. Surely better than simply staying at home!

H

I prefer the political compass to the american one:

H

Mine stays pretty much the same although it used to be close to Gandhi but now I'm in the centre with a slight offset to being liberal and slightly left, which sounds about right.

M

I used to be Conservative, but now that Cameron is in charge, I've joined UKIP.

J

i voted labour last time but I now think that a monkey would do a better job than tony blair.

M

Well Jen, if Brown gets in then we'll find out!

M

Not at all. Ok, that's what they've been branded as (most recently by Cameron, who is scared of haemorrhaging votes to them), but they're a multi-racial party, who don't discriminate on the ground of race in any way.

Of course, some of the views of UKIP can also be held by racists, but then some racists believe in God - doesn't mean all Christians are racist does it?
