I am looking for my phd research topic and have went through the findphd.com website. However, most of the phd offered, mainly located in Europe. Is it possible for me to take the title propose by any university in the website and do it in my country? I am really desperate to search for a title as I MUST do my phd before this coming august. My interest is more towards design and manufacture. Hope somebody can help me with this. Thanx

I think its possible to "take the title proposed... and do it in your country", many people do research for almost the same things; I don't think this is wrong, just that if you apply for a phd located in Europe; if you apply for the phd from any European university; if given the offer and accepted, you'd be expected to stay in Europe (where the university is) to complete this phd. Taking the topic to do in your own country is not stealing anything if you develop your own ideas and get your own results.

For example: many people all over the world research mobile technologies. Sometimes the title is almost the same.

Thanks satchi. I really out of idea on how to get the best research topic. Hope I can find one that related to me and discuss it with my potential supervisor. So that, I can do it in my own ways.
