hi ppl...i was wondering if someone can help me, basically i am graduting this summer in Ba (HONs) Business Management with hopefully a 2:1, i was so eager to do masters that i applied at two top universitys for a masters in MA Managment in which i got give an offer from...now the problem is that i am not sure if it is worth it. Since i have applied for graduate jobs in which i have not heard from. The major drawback for me is that my current university although it is good for my course it is not a high achiever in Uni league tables...what should i do? plus i want to be a management consultant so is it worth me doing a masters as a fast track to success

Coming from a Busines/Management background and without trying to sound too pessimistic, you will probabaly need a 1st to get into the highly competeive world of Management Consultantancy. As a career, it really does attract some high flyers from top Uni's. It possibly is worth doing a MBA [thats what we are talking?], but be aware of the cost [of course], and that potential employers still won't overlook an average 1st degree. Sorry if that sounds blunt.

Ah overlooked the MA in Man. bit. Is that 'worth it' as a qualification? Not entirely sure myself.
