I'm in a bit of a pickle about the methodology of my research study. I'm part way through my study and need to establish my methodology (not ideal!) It's a qualitative study using framework analysis to investigate how practitioners make clinical decisions - their clinical reasoning. I have read of framework analysis being a methodology - but think quite clearly that it is a method. I can't seem to fit my work into any methodology, though have just stumbled upon exploratory methodology and this seems potentially fruitful. I chose framework analysis as it is both deductive and inductive.
Good news is that you can choose any methodology you like, as long as you justify your decision. Also, something to consider about: how original is your methodology? Can you use more that one methodology and comparatively study the results?
