my 1st post.. almost started!

N

Well, here I am on a forum for Phd students so it must be happening. I have 2 supervisors, almost funded, almost honed in on a title.

I'm a relatively newly qualified nurse from London. Want to get into research so here I am. I'm nervous. Am I up to it? I keep thinking any day now I'll get an email from my college saying "perhaps the MPhil would suit yoo better at this stage"! Will they expose me for the academic fraud that I am?! Tell me these insecurities are normal. My supervisors seem lovely (now!) but somehow I always feel a bit silly and dumb after a meeting!

Can't wait to get stuck in, any advice?

The insecurities and feeling like a fraud are perfectly normal (i'm not just saying that, i mean it). People don't judge moments of stupidity/naivety/inexperience as harshly as you might think, most of the time, all the negative stuff is all in your head.

Good luck, kid!
