I have completed Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Karnataka University. India.
M.Tech in Power Electronics from the same University.
I am currently working as a Professor in an Engineering college for more than 8 years.
I wanted to do PhD in UK in any of these fields
1)Fuzzy logic
2)Power electronics
Design & fabricaton of IC
3)Analog circuits

Can you please help me with some basic questions
1. Can I do PhD in UK ?
2. If I can what is the procedure for it ?
3. Do I have to fund my self or can I get funding or scholarship ?
4. Please provide me some links for information on the same.

1. Yes absolutely.

2. Apply directly to a chosen University) usually making informal contact prior to a formal application).

3. Self-funding is your best (arguably only) option. Being an overseas student means your chances of a scholarship are very (read very, very, VERY) slim.

Is it possible to find a college/university where their research field/interest and my interest is same. And they can give chance for me to do the PhD in that area ?
