Hello. It will be nice to know from personal experiences how the processes of applying and being admitted to a PhD programme are. There are various communities where this information can be obtained but I rather prefer a more participatory approach to getting this information. For those that are presently or at the verge of getting a PhD, what are the steps, approaches and methods utilized from when the application is tendered to the department, to when the appointment is granted??
