PhD Abroad

G

Could anyone recommend an english speaking country that has a similar funding system to the UK. I really want to do my PhD abroad but cannot afford to fund it myself. Cheers

G

I'd try the US....some universities pay your fees and pay you a stipend even if you are an international student.

G

USA is the most generous in funding international students. But you need the GRE and TOFLE to apply

Rebecca can u tell which universities pay fees and offer stipends to phd students in US & UK also

G

The best way to find out which universities offer to pay your fees give you a stipend is to search their websites and get in touch with the postgraduate admissions person of programmes you like the look off.

See our Funding and PhDs Explained sections for links and information. The JASON database should help.
