PhD in Maths

D

I heard there is funding for doing some PhDs so I was wondering if a person with a maths degree that wants to do a PhD in a math related topic will get funding or is this only for only for specific scientific projects that are paid for by the company that is interested in that project?

If I would get funding will it be at least £1000 a month?

Also do certain subjects get more funding than others?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if offering any help

I assumed this forum was UK only but I see some questions regarding US education. So for clarification the above question is for UK only.

Hi

Look at sites like findaphd.com. Studentships normally pay a minimum of just under £13k per year.
