I'm an Italian master student and I have applied for a PhD at Liverpool Uni.. anyone can help me with this?
I mean, how long it takes to have an aswer from them??
And what about the interview.. there's somebody who had a PhD interview from University of Liverpool?

General advice is Universities don't work to a timetable recognised by the rest of the world. They could tell you straight away or go completely silent for ages. It took three months for my application process to be completed.

If you've heard nothing after say two weeks, I'd get in touch and ask what the progress is with your application.

My speculative query was posted in late May of the year I started to a number of Universities, aimed at Materials Engineering research. Initial contact was fairly rapid, however, it was early August before the University apparatus got going and I was able to commit (I needed certainty before submitting notice to my employer) mid-to-late August for an early October start.

I did a blog of my feelings on the whole PhD process and before you start, you may wish to have a read (I completed quite a time ago now).
