Psychology Research project

J

Hi all,

This is the first post on PGF so hello. I am based in London and have been assisting a professor at the UCL Psychology department on a project on personal beliefs about cancer and well-being. Basically I am looking to get onto a Masters/PhD in 2013 and I am getting some experience over this year at the department.

If anyone has a bit of time this week to take part the survey is online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/wellbeingandcancer

It is a collaborative project between the UCL Psychology department and also a doctor at Imperial College London so if anyone is involved there then do introduce yourself!

Hello again everyone,

So I have been collecting responses since my last post, and while it is going well and I need more participants to reach my sample target.

I have now put up a £25 voucher for a prize for completing the survey online or on paper. What have you found with such incentives? Are they worthwhile? I'm aware of possible bias to the sample, but if the sample size is much larger I hope this offsets possible bias. Would appreciate any thoughts or experiences you have had with this.

Also, please pass on the survey to friends or colleagues, or take part if you have a spare 20 minutes:
