Hi,
I want to apply for a PhD-program in Life Science in Germany. The requirement concerning GRE is “if available, not mandatory”. The deadline for application is end of May.
In a month I will take TOEFL and the rest of the time will spend for revision end reading to prepare to interview. Taking of GRE Subject Test is scheduled for April. 
My question is: can GRE General Test so to speak “be replaced by TOEFL and GRE Subject test with high scores?”
