I am starting my PhD this October and was wondering if my studentship will increase every year, as the Roberts Review indicated that PhD students will eventually be paid roughly the same as the average graduate starting salary (tax free equivalent) in the future or will it remain at £12,500 for the three year duration of the PhD?

You should get at rise in the studentship every year, which will at least be in line with inflation.
