I probably have a little strange question about specialization. I have the opportunity to defend my thesis in 2 areas - medicine or biology. If I want to go to a postdoc on a biological area, can I do it with a medical specialty? And should specialization coincide with the future postdoc, or does it depend on the desire of the manager?

Hi. I would first try to translate. Defending thesis here you mean starting a PhD in that area or you already finished and you mean contacting examiners in these areas?
If you have an opportunity to do biology and want a postdoc in biology, why do you want to do in Medicine? However I believe doing postdoc in a slightly different specialisation is not uncommon.

It is quite common for people to do postdocs in an area different from their PhD.
Medicine and Biology are intimately connected anyway. I imagine some biology postdocs would be needing a medical background, especially if dissection of an animal is required for example.

Papers are very important but it is hard to say an exact number. You want a mix of quantity and quality, getting the mix right is difficult to say but also depends on your field/results. You definitely want one, preferably 2 papers, as it not only shows your work but also shows to future post-doc employers you know how to publish.

I think to answer that question you need to look at your results and realistically work out with your supervisor what is publishable and what isn't. Then aim to get them into the best journal you can.
