Using this site, I had emailed two universities regarding PhDs that had been advertised as having funding available for international students. Both replied saying it was not ! I would request the site admins to not advertise unfunded PhDs as funded , because it really is heartbreaking for some of us !

We realise that this can be a problem and we try to encourage our advertisers to select an appropriate funding status, and to provide more detail in the project description as to who is eligible to apply. Sadly our advice is sometimes ignored.
