Which uni is great to do a PhD in Behavioural Finance in the Netherlands/EU?

I

Hi,

I'm planning to do a PhD in Behavioural Finance. I'm looking into universities in the Netherlands, mostly thinking of UvA (but I'm not sure bcs I reckon it requires an MRes from Tinbergen Institute), Tilburg Uni, and Maastricht Uni.

However, I'm not sure which of these unis and/or potentially other unis in the EU which are reputable for their research or has a great chair in Behavioural Finance/Economics or has a great professor that I can potentially contact to ask for supervision.

If you know any great unis or have any advice for my PhD search process, I'm very much open to information about any unis in the EU which are good for Behavioural Finance/Economics PhD.

Lots of thanks! Stay safe.

I understand that you want to go to the best university possible but I would recommend you consider other aspects such as research culture, the project (if funded) and your supervisor. The university's reputation means nothing if you are not comfortable or working to your full potential.

I would consider applying to several universities that you are interested and deciding when you have offers. As during the application process you will potentially learn more about the department/supervisor and you can make a more informed decision.
