Hello everybody, I am a fresh MSc student, I am applying for PhDs to be admitted the next year, but almost all applications ask for references. I just begin my MSc and I didn't know my tutors so well in order to ask them for references! I need your advices how to ask them to be my references? Is it easy for them to agree or they just ignore if they still don't know me so well? Thank you.

They will be used to being asked, so just explain to them the project you are interested in and they will happily write them for you. You can also ask your undergraduate tutor or project adviser if that's easier for you.

They will probably have templates they use anyway so it won't be a too arduous task!
