I am very worried as I have done my Masters in Law from India and now want to go to UK so I am opting for Phd in Law. I am worried as if I cannot clear my Phd can I leave it in between and switch to another visa? Would it affect my Immigration status in the UK if I leave Phd course in between? I am too tense please can anyone share their views/opinions please. Thanks

Yes it would. If you cease to be registered as a student, your visa can be revoked. The university have to update the Home Office with the visa status of their students.
