Hi all,

I have recently got an unconditional offer from University of Queensland to start my PhD. As its quite expensive so I have applied for UQ scholarships as well but I have been told that its very competitive.
I just wanted to get an idea if I have any chance of getting one or not.
I am an international student from India and have completed my masters in 2009 with 81%. Also, did one year of Master's thesis after which I also have 2 years of research experience in the same field. Completed with my English proficiency test with a band score of 7.5
Do I really stand a chance of getting any merit-based scholarship in UQ? what is generally there criteria to award one??
Please help!!

looking good student, don't rely on scholarship, even if you got one, there are no other sources for scholarship in Uk. they don't give any funding for your further phd, so better try to get a full funding and them move ahead. because it is really costly to live in Uk.
