i've now completed one year of my Ph.D and now i m lukng for algorithms to find eyes from an image with the help of the gradient(horizontal or vertical). I want to select the reqd upper region for the eyes with the help of gradient of the image. i m stuck in the problem of hw to find gradient of an image. can smebdy pls help me out with some logic or formula to find intensity and gradient of an image . Thanks.
