Dear friends,
I have wrote a Motivation letter for my PhD application. Like any other documents it can benefit from your comments. So, I kindly ask you to help me improve it.
Thanks,
Dear selection committee,
I hold MSc degree in Construction Project Management from the Prestigious Chalmers University of Technology and I would like to apply for the PhD programs in Business Administration and Civil Engineering at EMU.
My B.Sc. is in Civil and Construction Engineering and my M.Sc. is in Contraction Project Management. I have about two years of professional experience ranging from engineering in a construction site to teaching in university. Therefore, theoretically and empirically I am familiar with both management and civil engineering. Also, I own a solid research background which will be explained in the following paragraphs.
During my B.Sc. studies I had a good GAP and situated on the 4th place from approximately 180 students. I also did five Research projects which are documented in university library and presented orally in national seminars.
When I started my M.Sc. studies in Chalmers a wide horizon is opened to me. Wide range of support in Chalmers which I already was deprived from_ like language support, access to different databases and etc_ caused my talent to be flourished. Therefore, my academic desire thrived and I published papers. During my master studies I did four research projects in group and published a conference paper and two scientific papers in ISI indexed journals. I also have two other papers which are under revision in credible journals.
From practical experience, I am teaching for about six months to B.Sc. students and believe my dream job is being a university teacher who is well aware of industry situation.
When I started teaching I were always stressed when students were asking questions and I believed how less I know and how deep is the potential to my improvement. This is one driver to me to continue my studies as a PhD candidate. The other reasons are I want to progress in my career and be a teacher for master student and also a PhD supervisor in future. In future I want to be a guest lecturer in several universities in different countries and a consultant to industry like my previous supervisor Pro. Goran Lindahl. I know how challenging is this route and I am psychologically and mentally ready to deal with it.
During my academic and professional experience I well understood the significance of commitment and how to be an effective member of team and how to work independently.
With regard to my extracurricular activities, I am a professional wrestler and do bodybuilding for 8 years. Also, I am interested in photography and be up dated about new technologies.
Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to your favorable reply.
Yours sincerely,
