you may try to find some apartments online and talk to people there. There could also be some facebook pages with foreign people living in the city you are trying to move and such pages are generally very helpful. There could also be some renting websites to check out. In short what I am trying to say is some online search might help you atleast get an idea of how the renting scene is in that city. This is my first time here but I saw that people can get some help here. I am in my second year of PhD. I have recently been feeling very low. I have moved to different country for my PhD, so I miss my home. I got some very good results in first few months of my PhD. My supervisor was very happy then. But now I am kind of stuck and do not know how to move forward. There are two supervisors for my PhD and they have different views. I cannot decide what to do and it seems my supervisor is getting annoyed and thinks that I have been sitting on the data for months now. I dont know what to do?
I am lost. :'(
