Hi everyone,

just wanted to know whether PhD's are paid or not i.e. whether you receive a monthly salary as you would work for a company?

I know there are PhD studentship out there, which pay the monthly salary. What about other PhD's? If they do not mention anything about a salary, does it mean one has to consider self-funding?

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some clear answers. Thanks in advance.
