I'm writing up and looking for jobs and it feels like it's all going sooooo slow and generally meh.
I'm in computer science but my phd work has drifted quite far from computer sciency things and into human vision so now I keep panicking that I can't program anymore, I can't do proper maths anymore and I'll be generally useless at any job I get (if I get any that is). Gaah. How's everyone dealing with looking for jobs? Should I just settle for generic industry job that has nothing to do with my phd or hope that a relevant postdoc might magically appear? You'd think one extra degree + papers would make it easier to find jobs rather than harder....
