Long story but my Masters dissertation came back with a revise & resubmit. I made all the changes as stated by the examiners, then resubmitted the dissertation, only to have it marked as `major corrections'. The points I needed to correct were different than what was originally required for the revise & resubmit. This requires me to write different/additional stuff that hadn't been mentioned. Is this allowed, or once I have done all the corrections the first time round, I shouldn't have to do extra stuff? The other question I have, is can one appeal to have one's dissertation marked by a different external examiner? thanks
I need someone to check over my Masters dissertation (20000) words - not for grammar or formatting, but for structure, argument clarity, flow etc. My supervisor has been zero help and it is because of his lack of supervision that when I submitted my dissertation the first time round, I got a revise & resubmit result after all my hard work. Needless to say, I want too make really sure I have got it right this time. What does everyone else do about their dissertations? Do you just get your supervisor to proof-read everything loads of times? What if your supervisor is useless? I would be willing to pay for someone to give my work a review - has anyone else paid for such a service? I don't need anyone to write my content - just to sanity check what I have already done (on the content said rather than grammar etc). A google search hasn't brought forth much on this front...
I should have a 20,000 word dissertation in ancient history/art history ready to check over by the 1st September this year. I basicaly want someone to read through it, see it makes sense, correct any English etc. English is my native language, so hoping there won't be too many mistakes. I also proofread others' reports for my day job. If anyone (native English speaker) can do this for me, by say, the 4th September, I would be happy to return the favour and read over someone else's similarly-lengthed dissertation (and in any subject). I don't need a historian to check mine. Thanks in advance!
I will be doing an Mres in history for the coming academic year (2015/16) and will need to submit a 20,000 dissertation. This will constitute a third of the total marks of this one year full time course. Can anyone advise me roughly when I will need to sort my dissertation title by, when I would probably need to submit the final thing by and the most important question of all, how long (months) would you advise I set aside to do this dissertation? Many thanks
