In my field (education) they ask for a distinction (or H1 level in Oz). However, they also say that if I can prove other qualifications- especially journal publications etc - this will go far in attaining PhD funding. I think if you can show evidence of other qualifications, this definitely helps.
Hi all,
I've recently been invited to commence a PhD at my university- a big deal for me, and I'm very excited about it.
HOWEVER! The problem is - I have two children under the age of 5. My partner and I share the care and my partner is supportive of me studying my PhD.
What does everything think though? Do you really think I'll be able to survive my studies- when I can really only commit about 3 full days a week to it?
Upon saying that, I must preface it with- I'm quite good at not getting distracted, I could use those 3 days very (very) productively...
Still- I am worried/apprehensive about taking it on.
Any parents out there who could give me their ideas?
thanks !
