Hi all,
I'm thinking about starting an MSc in Social Policy (full time) this September but I don't know if I can afford it yet. A lot will depend on how much paid work I can manage, but I have no idea how hard it will be to fit in with studying. How much do you think I could get away with - one, maybe two days a week? (I worked 2 days a week for most of my undergrad but it wasn't a very time intensive course). Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.
Hi there, I work part time to fund my study. I work 3 days a week (mon, tue & fri) while uni falls on a Wed & Thurs.
Affording it is difficult (if you don't have savings, you will need to speak nicely to your bank). As you are aware, there is virtually no funsing available for most masters courses, however, take your time to look around, some courses are funded to a greater or lesser degree. Also, one other thing, depending on your course, field trips, exams, workshop weeks etc. will all take their toll on your work holiday allowance.
