Hello All,

I am new to this forum. I would like to get a few information about the university of Buckingham. I have an offer for MBA from this university. I get mixed feedbacks from various sources. Anybody having a first hand exposure with this university?

Its ranked no. 2 for business studies in UK according to The Guardian. But I could not find this university ranked anywhere else. like FT and Times.

Please help me with reviews and feedbacks if you have something valid.

I believe the reason that Buckingham will not show up on some ranking tables is that, unlike almost every other university in the UK, it is an independent and private university. As it does receive state funding it also does not undergo the assessments which are often used to determine and rank university quality, such as RAE.

I don't really know much about the university from a student perspective, or what difference being a private university will make (apart from in terms of cost) I'm afraid.

@Cmouse: Thanks for the immdiate response. As an overseas student, the cost is just the same as any other state funded university in UK to me. I am more concerened about the quality of education and job prospects after completing MBA from this university. The reputation of the university matters a lot when it come to job recruitement.
