It is a major task finding a school that offers the kind of program I want. I'll like to know what your exprience is/was like. Share your experience for others to learn.

I went to google, typed it in and the rest is history.........

when i applied for my PhD i simultaneously applied for the taught MSc course at the same institution, as fallback option for in case they wouldn't let me progress directly to PhD level (condisering I have a foreign degree).
how i found the place: there was one author in my area of interest who consistently impressed me with her published work. i googled her, found out where she is, saw that they have a PhD and a MSc program there, applied.

I tired using google but over months the results change. When I searched a year ago I got different programs to what I get now. Originally I couldn't find anything that suited me so I didn't apply anywhere. After I finished my course I was having problems finding work so I tried again and 2 courses in microbiology that were suitable came up so I applied to those. I got accepted to both and am going to Manchester. :)
