Hello, so I have used qualitative methodology for my dissertation but need to have a section about my philosophical assumptions, such as the ontology and epistemology of my approach. I find it very confusing.
Is critical realism classed as a form of contextualism? Do they link at all?
In some articles they seem separate and others they say critical realism is a stance (e.g in Madhill article)? i' m finding the more I read the more confused I get.

Nothing ever is consistent in the literature the safest thing to do is ask someone if you get confused. The more you read philosophy the more complicated it gets.... so it may be best to ask a supervisor for some help rather than spending a lot of time reading the lit and getting more confused!!
