Any plans for Easter?

P

Are people taking time off?

J

Probably will use the time to write up a paper...boring. Though I might go for some walks in the park now that the flowers are back.
Not buying Easter eggs till after Easter cos they're then half the price (tightwad that I am).

A

I am going to be taking some time off because I will have finished my first draft by Easter. I will, I will, I will ....... aaaaaaaaaaargh.

(and two people in the last two days have tried to tell me that Easter is THIS WEEK! why do people have to frighten me like that. I have this week and next week and I WILL be finished)

J

sleeping off this hangover *groans*

I am fitting a new kitchen, supposedly, although being "newly grown-up" I'm not really sure how to do this. My boyfriend is doing all the hard work but I'm meant to be moving all the stuff out the cupboards and not quite sure what to do with it all so it isn't all in the way (we have a smallish house) Don't know why it seems such a scary task but it does!

T

I have a few days either side of the weekend off, but my first year report is due at the end of april so i'll have to work for most of it.. My folks are heading down to the coast nearby to visit.. My little 9 yr old sister wants to come and stay for a night at my house so she can spend a night with "university students".. I don't think i'll be taking her to the pub!

4

lol Tricky don't let her smoke either. But she can watch the late-night telly

I

why would you inflict that on a 9yr-old 404? A carefully chosen DVD maybe...

4

hmmm ok then insomniac
I thought Tricky's pub comment was funny, that's all really.

H

late night tv is pants anyway, she would probably fall asleep due to the yawn factor.

Take her to see the university, I bet she would love that! Let her eat beans on toast. Make sure she doesn't bathe and sleeps in.

J

Wouldn't worry, 9 year olds are more worldy-wise than most adults think. I'd had my first hangover by then

T

Yeah Juno you are right.. she is fairly worldly wise.. definitely more so than when I was that age!

J

Yes, my cousins are the same. They could hold their own against a load of students; no doubt your sister will too . When I was in halls a bloke brought his 10 year old brother down for a night and he loved it.

S

im taking my boyf to meet my family.. whole family.. will probably be more stressful than doing phd work..!
