Any 1 out there who can help me? I am currently a student of ERC Inst, taking up the BBA in Tourism Hospitality. This BBA is from Tourism Institute Australia (TIA), which belongs to part of the Gibaran Learning Group (GLG). A pal has replied to me in edu poll, stating the TIA and GLG both are only recognized in South Australia. He advised me to go for fully fledge university courses rather. However within this school, they have tied up closely with GLG and with university, they have only 2 courses. www.erci.edu.sg
I do not know much on accreditation and as what people said to check on the course recognition and accreditation first before deciding which course to take. Now I have already taken up this course and have just started studying when I heard from earlier batch students saying that the TIA program as well as the masters program is NOT recognized in Singapore. There are graduates who has obtained this certificate and went to hotel to apply for jobs but hotel told them they only recognized certificates from SHATEC, SIM etc.
Now I am at lost of whether to switch to choose either one of the 2 courses, which I have no interest in or to stay put to continue. I am afraid that I would dump so much money into getting a degree NOT recognized. I am at the same time afraid that if I were to switch to one course I am not keen, would I be able to complete. Pls any1 out there who belong to BBA-TIA graduates. Have you got any good feedback? Or any comments? Any advice? Please help, I'm really lost for words other than help...
