Apologies for another food thread, can you tell I'm hungry?!

I was just wondering, as you do, are there any foods that you really love and wouldn't like to live without, however unconventional they are?

I was pondering this thought whilst sitting eating my bowl of frozen peas whilst my tea is cooking. I adore frozen peas, they are absolutely heaven with a bit of salt!

I also love cold, cooked, roast potatoes, they're gorgeous.

Aside from the obvious e.g chocolate, do you have any odd food cravings?!

P

Sometimes I feel the need to chew ice (due to hormones apparently!) Does the uncooked frozen food not give you indigestion?

I have a thing for marshmallows which comes and goes. And I go through macaroni cheese phases where I have it every night for a few days on the run. Fabulous with a couple of different mustards in the sauce and tomatoes and crispy breadcrumbs on the top. I had both mac cheese and marshmallows this eve.

Greek salad too, when I start having it it means winter is over - I had my first 2010 bowl a couple of weeks ago, hopefully that's not too optimistic. I've tons of it since then, am on my second pack of feta.

And Scouse! Which I also go through phases with. Haven't had it for ages.

Basil pesto smeared on anything and wasabi added to crackers, sandwiches and the like. But both are pretty rich so there comes a point when your stomach begs for mercy and you just have to take a break for a few weeks.

mine is baked Coeur de Lion Pié D'angloys cheese, that has a 'hint of honey' in it - but I also add honey on the top and then eat it with breadsticks :$

I also have an obsession for iced fingers - basically a bread roll with a load of icing on top :$

Surprisingly I don't get indigestion from eating frozen peas! I also LOVE eating Emmental cheese, I could honestly eat a whole block of it everyday but I really don't think that's good for you!

Eska, I'm quite concerned... not only are you a fellow merseysider, but we have the same food cravings... weird.

I love mac n cheese. My mom makes the absolute best one though... with mustard, onions and bacon in the sauce, and loads of tomato and grated cheese on top then grilled to perfection. I'm actually making myself quite hungry at the thought of it. I could literally have it every night and not get bored.. but I'd probably get quite chubby.

Greek salad is my all-time favourite summer food. Yum.
8-)

I'm quite into my chocolate spread on toast at the moment as well.

T

Tinned peas with a little vinegar, salt and pepper.
Toast with greek yogurt (has to be Total) and jam.
Cream crackers with butter, marmite and cucumber.
Carrot sticks with salad cream.

Ok, I need lunch now.....
